4.1 – Panel

The Panel is a Kanban board for tracking Assets and their Demands. It shows the processes the company uses to serve its clients. Being virtual, it can be viewed anywhere, anytime, supports remote collaboration, keeps all service data and gives everyone a picture of how the company as a whole is doing.

Assets sit in the left column, and their Demands in the columns of the process phases, defined in the Panel Settings. Each phase header shows how many Demands are in it. At the top are the Create Asset, Clone Asset and Refresh buttons, and the member filter.

Assets

When an Asset’s row is collapsed, horizontal bars show the number of Demands in each phase over the total. In the Asset menu (arrow icon or right-click) you can open it, collapse or expand the row, or remove it. At the bottom of the Asset card there are two icons: one creates a new Demand from scratch and the other creates a Demand from an existing one in another Asset.

Note: Assets marked as Single Demand automatically generate a Demand in the Panel’s first phase when created.

Demands

Demands indicate what must be done to serve the client. They can be created with the button on the Asset card or directly in the desired phase. They move by drag-and-drop or through the Demand menu. When a Demand is moved, BeePlus records the date it entered the phase and the initials of who moved it.

When a Demand enters a new phase, BeePlus starts counting time for its owner. Each member works on one Demand at a time: starting a Demand pauses any other under their responsibility. To work on another Demand, click the clock in the card’s bottom bar.

Demands can be assigned to another member through the Demand menu.

If the phase has Automation Rules, moving the Demand into it opens the Run rules window, where you choose which Activities to create in the Teams and whether they go to the open Sprint or to the Backlog (see 4.3).
