The Team Board replaces the whiteboards teams hang on the wall to track their work. Being virtual, it supports remote collaboration and keeps all the data about the work done.
It is usually where the Team spends most of its time. The Sprint’s Activities sit in the left column, and their tasks in the stage columns: To Do, In Progress and Done. At the top are the Create Activity, Clone Activity, Refresh and End Sprint buttons, and the member filter.
Activities
When an Activity’s row is collapsed, horizontal bars show the number of tasks in each stage over the total. In the Activity menu (arrow icon or right-click) you can open it, collapse or expand the row, or remove it. At the bottom of the Activity card there are two icons: one creates a new task from scratch and the other creates a task from an existing one.
Tasks
Tasks are the pieces of work needed to complete the Activity. New tasks go into the To Do column and move to In Progress and Done by drag-and-drop or through the task menu. When a task enters In Progress, BeePlus records the date and the initials of who moved it and starts counting the owner’s working time.
Each member works on one task at a time: starting a task pauses any other task they are working on. To resume another In Progress task, click the clock in the card’s bottom bar. A moving green clock means work in progress; a still red clock, a paused task. When you open the task you see the measured time; if it is wrong, enter the correct value in Corrected Time.
Important: members only work on tasks assigned to them. To take over a task, change the assignment in the task menu and then start working. The menu also lets you assign the task to another member.
Yellow tasks are regular tasks; red ones are problems. Impediments — problems that stop the Team from working on a task or on the Activity — appear in grey and can be linked to the whole Activity or to a task, at the bottom of the task details window. An impeded Activity or task can only be finished once the impediment is resolved.
When a task moves to Done, BeePlus records the completion date, in red.
End Sprint
The End Sprint button ends the work period and puts the Sprint into Review. After that, tasks can no longer be moved or changed.
Important: if working times need adjusting, do it before ending the Sprint.
