5.1 – Summary

5.1.1 – Details

Presents the Sprint Goal. The Goal, optional, is what the Team expects to achieve by the end of the Sprint and should guide all of the Team’s work.

This also displays other details, such as the Sprint start and end dates, days remaining until completion, Sprint status, and the number of planned and completed items.

A Sprint can have the following Statuses:

Not Started – Sprint planned but not yet started (current date before the start date).
Started – Activity Period started and the team is working on the items.
Review – Activity Period ended. Review started.
Retrospective – Review closed. Waiting for the Retrospective to end.
Finished – Sprint has ended and no further interactions will be conducted in this Sprint.
Canceled – Sprint canceled due to a problem. This usually occurs if the PO realizes that the Goal cannot be achieved. Very rare, but occasionally necessary.

5.1.2 – Burndown

The Sprint Burndown chart shows how the team’s work is progressing during the given period, based on the chosen estimation system. The dashed blue line shows how work should progress uniformly, for reference only. The red line shows the team’s actual progress.

To enlarge the chart, simply click on it. To print or save, use the menu in the upper right corner of the chart.

5.1.3 – Sprint Backlog

Lists the items selected for the Sprint. It also allows you to add or remove items during the Sprint. Items added during the Sprint are marked as extras.

The icons show the item status: not started, started, blocked, and completed.
